- The cavity backed head has been constructed from 431 Stainless Steel. Different materials have then been added into the design to give extra performance.
- The top edge of the S9 irons has been made from Polymer. This is lighter than Steel and pushes more weight to the sole of the club for a lower centre of gravity to help get the ball in the air from any lie.
- Urethane inserts are added into the back of the cavity and the sole. This dampens vibration to improve feel.
- Using the multi-material design has also given the S9 irons a higher Moment Of Inertia (MOI) to give the club head a greater resistance to twisting on off centre strikes.
